A Smile for the Grumpy
This morning, I encountered a grumpy person. Super grumpy. And, from all appearances, he was a most unhappy person. I greeted him courteously, but he only had a grumble to give. I gave him my smile, but he didn’t reciprocate. That was all I could do. Who knows? Maybe he carried my smile with him, and it lessened his burden. I’ll never know.
