Victory Gardens, and a Little Slice of American Spirit!

Victory is in the air, and it got me thinking about the original “Victory” movement—the Victory Gardens! Remember those? These gardens were pure American spirit in soil and sunshine, started during both World Wars to boost our food supply and unite communities. By 1944, they were growing 40% of all our veggies! Can you imagine? A whole country, hands in the dirt, planting a hopeful future!

The Power of a Well-Fenced Garden

And guess what? Fencing was key to those gardens back then, just as it is now. Keeping out those nibbling critters and ensuring those hard-earned veggies grew strong and steady? That’s the power of a well-fenced garden! My Mama Clements already had a garden, but she added the American flag and claimed Victory!

Today, whether it’s a backyard patch or a full homestead, our gardens are where we root ourselves and build resilience. And you all, with your fencing expertise, are still part of that legacy—helping people create their own modern-day “Victory Gardens” with security and pride.
